Day 40

Today is the 5th day of the 6th week, the 9th day of the 2nd month, the 40th day of 2023

It's been one of those days.

It started out with issues with a Starbucks order that took 20 minutes to resolve, making me late for work

Then there was a doc visit and another steroid inhaler prescription - and a referral to a pulmonologist.  Things became complicated when I was informed that pulmonologist had gone from a private practice to joining the Privia network - and Privia is currently at loggerheads with Cigna, and didn't want to take the Cigna Medicare Advantage insurance.  Their office manager ironed it out, but I am liable for 10% of the bill out of pocket depending on what Cigna pays

Complicated by bossman trying to tapdance in an end of year "state of the portfolio" memo, which I usually write for the BOD but I'm glad he is doing it this year

And some management/direct report issues to work out - happens even in a very small office

Topped off with a 45-minute wait to pick up the inhaler

On the plus side, since neither bossman nor the loan officer are going into the office tomorrow, bossman told me I could work from home

And on the way home, I indulged in my favortie meal at IHOP, then came home and propped up my feet and went in world.

And if you squint a little bit, you can see the weekend on the horizon....
